One-of-a-kind alliances bring technology support and venture capital to organizations focused on advancing dental care
NEW YORK, November 29, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Revere Partners, the first and only venture capital fund focused on oral health, today announced two new partnerships that are expected to bring the latest innovation and technology to groups dedicated to advancing the practice of dentistry. Agreements with the Seattle Study Club and High Point University’s Workman School of Dental Medicine will focus on established dentists looking to improve their knowledge and methods, as well as the next generation of oral health professionals .
Seattle Study Club is an international network of dental practitioners committed to deepening their knowledge and advancing their methods of care. It has more than 250 study clubs worldwide, each focused on helping members improve their practices, connect with the dental community, and incorporate the latest, revolutionary and proven techniques and tools in dentistry. Revere Partners has agreed to bolster regular interactive club meetings by introducing at least one dental startup per quarter (the club is also openly recruiting startups now), providing startups and dental technology vendors exclusive access to the growth-focused network .
The Workman School of Dental Medicine is North Carolina’s first private dental school, with plans to welcome its first cohort in August 2024 (class selection beginning summer 2023). Its unique teaching model will place students in real clinical experience practices, while aiming to open up more opportunities within dentistry through affordable tuition. The student workers are expected to be the first dental students to receive extensive training in commercial dentistry through an undergraduate program. The Revere Partners partnership will infuse the latest technology into CARE’s education and practice model, as well as launch a special entrepreneurship and venture capital internship for students.
