The death of Television actor Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi, known for his roles on shows like “Kkusum” and “Kasautii Zindagi Kay,” at the age of 46 was no different than his predecessors in the industry, like comedic artist Raju Srivastava and l actor Siddharth Shukla. However, a heart attack (acute myocardial infarction) can occur when soft plaques that form in the coronary arteries rupture and cause a large clot to form. This can come without any “advance warning symptom. Even 30% plaques can rupture and cause a large obstructive clot to form.” This is precisely why young people are just as susceptible to episodes, even when they seem form.

Dr. Reddy clarified that exercise is not bad but “it is essential to detect and control the risk factors that form and rupture plaques in the coronary arteries. Caution and caution are all the more necessary among Indians who have an ethnic susceptibility to suffering a heart attack at a younger age than other population groups, for several reasons.

“People can suffer a heart attack due to valvular heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and arrhythmia. We have found that most heart attacks are recorded after the gym while climbing or on the way home,” said Dr. Vijay Surase, Cardiologist at Jupiter Hospital. Some patients may not have a medical history of heart disease, but due to excessive stress without proper training, their heart rate increased almost 300 from the resting range of 60 to 100 beats per minute. “Without proper training, beginners begin the deadlift which causes coronary artery dissection, an emergency condition that occurs when a tear forms in a blood vessel of the heart,” he added. Dr. Surase also advised against taking heart-weakening steroids because they fail to pump enough blood, increasing the risk of heart failure and sudden cardiac death.

Before choosing a health regimen, especially ones that put extra strain on your body, such as weightlifting, crunches, deadlifts, and pullups, do a stress test. Do not register arbitrarily, said Dr Zakia Khan, Senior Interventional Cardiology Consultant, Fortis Hospital, Mumbai. “It is the biggest mistake to start running on the treadmill without walking briskly. The body does not stay accustomed to the sudden physical stress that triggers a heart attack. People with multiple risk factors like diabetes, high blood pressure and smoking should consult a doctor before running on the treadmill,” she warned. She listed the following advice:

Do not go to the gym before consulting a medical expert

During a stress test, a healthcare provider will monitor a person’s heart rate as they walk on a treadmill or pedal a stationary bike. This will immediately tell you how your heart is working and if there is a risk of it developing cardiovascular problems. Additionally, stress testing is essential as it can prevent sudden death from excessive exercise, usually caused by abnormal heartbeats.

Always eat and drink water before your routines

Dehydration is the worst enemy during intense workouts. So, drinking enough water during an exercise regimen will help you maintain peak performance, especially if you’re working out. Lack of food means low blood sugar, which makes you dizzy, nauseous, or shaky. To avoid this, it is best to eat a small meal (45 minutes to an hour) before going to the gym. Refrain from eating meals and going to the gym immediately.

Make sure you have slept well before exercising, take breaks

Sleep is essential for your body to function at optimal levels. If you suffered minor injuries or pain during your exercise regimen, a good night’s sleep will help you recover faster. Additionally, if you suffer from sleep deprivation, 30 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise can improve your sleep quality. Take adequate breaks between 30 minutes of exercise.
